Abaco is a unique and large attic studio, located on the second floor of a picturesque detached family house that is spilt into two units. With its own private entrance, the open-plan space brings together a comfy sleeping area with a double bed (150 × 200 cm), a relaxed living area with sofa and TV, a practical kitchenette with dining area and a full bathroom.

Large sliding glass doors lead to a generous terrace that feels like an outdoor living room, featuring a built-in barbecue, a cosy leisure/dining area, and a swimming pool with sun loungers. The kitchenette is equipped with the essentials so you can prepare your own meals, then step outside to a big table and chairs for sunny breakfasts or peaceful dinners overlooking the valley, the ocean, and the lush green rural setting. 

You can easily get to Abaco by car, taxi or bus (car recommended). You can find facilities in the vicinity. Abaco is located in Ribeira Brava - a sunny seaside town on Madeira’s central south coast, about 20 minutes west of Funchal. Set at the mouth of a lush valley (its name means “wild river”), it blends a pebble beach, promenades and a compact old city center. It’s a handy base for exploring the island, with quick road access to both north and south coasts via Encumeada.

From this base you can dive into Madeira’s best: levada walks through the UNESCO-listed Laurissilva Forest, village traditions, outstanding regional dishes and wines, lively events, and adventures that swing from mountain trails to the Atlantic in minutes.
